REV. FATHER GODFREY MULLEN (O.S.B.) IS THE NEW BISHOP-ELECT OF BELLEVILLE DIOCESE

Father Godfrey Mullen, who has been serving as Diocesan Administrator since the departure of Bishop Michael McGovern to Omaha Archdiocese last May, was appointed by Pope Leo XIV as the 10th Bishop to shepherd the Belleville Diocese, on Friday, March 13, 2026. His Episcopal Ordination and installation will be Friday, May 1st, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Peter Cathedral, Belleville, IL. O God we pray asking you to give your strength, your guidance, your wisdom to your beloved Bishop-elect Godfrey Mullen.
